April is National Poetry Month, and our library proctors have put together a unique display. They’ve created a series of “book spine poems” using titles from our shelves. They’ve stacked and arranged them to form short, creative pieces.
It’s a simple idea, but the results are really fun. Some of the poems are thoughtful, some are a little funny, and all of them make you see familiar books in a different way. It’s also a nice reminder that creativity can come from just about anywhere, even the spines of books you pass by every day.
If you’re in the library, take a minute to check them out in Baker Reading Room. You might even feel inspired to build a poem of your own!
