Swords-For-Hire Summer Reading

posted in: Readers Advisory | 0

Ms. Yarborough sure knows how to spot a trend!  She writes:

“Did you know that “Don’t Call It a Team Up,” a Deadpool and Spiderman comic, was the most circulated leisure reading book in our physical collection this year? It was, and thus it seems fitting to honor the “merc with a mouth” with a summer reading advisory on books featuring assassins, outlaws-for-hire, and sell-swords.

If you prefer a protagonist who is . . .

  • morally gray and often mouthy
  • the blade behind political intrigue
  • desperately trying to evade their contractual obligations/guild/employer
  • actually watching a soap opera behind their helmet’s visor because they have disabled their governor module and recognize their entertainment feed is much more compelling than the drive to be a “heartless killing machine”

…then this is the summer reading list for you!  Check out the books below or our new Swords-For-Hire reading list on SORA!
