Last week’s post highlighted some of our favorite road trip books, making us all think about the places we would like to visit. But what about if you could visit somewhere in time? The Ohrstrom librarians have thought about this! One of us wanted to head into the future, but the rest of us stuck to the past and time periods that we find fascinating – Caesar’s time, Tudor England, Lowell MA during the Industrial Revolution, 1920’s New York City, England in 1611, and Japan during the Edo period. While we can’t actually time travel (for now?), we can read about it. In our recommendations below, you will find historicals, thrillers, science fiction, and contemporary fiction – there is something for almost any reader.
