Summer Reading Challenge 2017

Today marks the launch of Ohrstrom Library’s Summer Reading Challenge. Stop by the library this week to pick up your official Summer Reading Challenge bookmark for ideas and suggestions on how to select different and interesting books to read over the summer vacation.

This reading challenge is for EVERYONE! Students, faculty, staff and families are all invited to participate. Also attached to the bookmarks are two miniature heart-shaped seed papers, one to plant in the library garden and one to take home to enjoy. The theme of this summer’s reading program revolves around community, and we have acquired a plot in the SPS community garden for library patrons to plant their heart-shaped seed papers before they leave the grounds for the summer.

To participate in the challenge, bring back your bookmark in the fall with a list of the titles you’ve read and be entered into a raffle for a $25 Gibsons gift card. The drawing will be held during our Terrace Garden chips & salsa event in the fall.

Be sure to stop by the library to pick up your Summer Reading Challenge bookmark today!
