The library purchases an NBC newsreel archive containing news past and present.


A search for Earth Day returns news footage from the first Earth Day (1970) as well as footage documenting more contemporary accounts.


Looking for a little more context?  Try an Earth Day search in the Gale Virtual Reference Library for more on the history of Earth Day from the lens of: pop culture, environmental sustainability, and/or political science & protests.

The Library’s streaming NBC newsreel archive contains video footage past and present including a new collection discussing the Science of the Olympic Games.

This same source can be used to locate archival footage related to past Olympic Games.

Perhaps you’ve used the Library-purchased NBC News footage archive?  This product now has available, footage produced by a selection of U.S. colleges and universities.  The 2-minute (about) videos speak to specific educational programs and initiatives at a given institution.

The complete collection, called Campus Perspectives, includes the ability to view videos by Topic or by Institution.
