    Primary Sources: ebrary

    Many academic books include primary sources (sometimes many, many!).  Searching the following subjects in ebrary will locate that document type published in book form.  You might also consider a search using one subject below combined with your topic (i.e. Correspondence, Roosevelt; or Sources, Civil Rights). Adjust the drop down menu to read ‘subject.’  Select the + button to add additional search boxes, if desired. Narrow the search using the selected subjects offered by ebrary.     ebrary eBook Reader – There’s an App for that!

    ebrary recently released an app for iOS devices.  After downloading the app, one can then download & read offline, up to 10 ebrary ebooks for up to 2 weeks. Ohrstrom Library’s ebrary collection currently contains 72,000 ebooks, predominantly academic titles published within the last 10 years. To download the app, first sign in to your ebrary account.  To create an account, click the same sign in-link while on the SPS network, & create an account with a user name and password of your choosing.     ebrary offers open access to 9/11 ebooks through September

    Throughout the month of September, ebrary, an eBook vendor that Ohrstrom Library currently contracts with, is offering free access to its collection related to 9/11.  Fifteen searchable, full-text ebooks are available as part of this collection. In support of the 10th anniversary of 9/11, ebrary is offering open access to a collection of relevant e-books through September. We hope that this collection provides a valuable resource to anyone seeking to learn or understand more about this tragic event, or reflect on its world impact. Thank you ebrary.
